Terms of competition
Last updated: August 20, 2025
These competition terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to raffles and promotions organized by Idrottensspel.se (“we”, “us”, “our”) via our digital platforms, including but not limited to idrottensspel.se, landing pages, third-party integrations and social media. By participating, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Participation in the promotion is free of charge. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win, other than standard internet or mobile access charges. This ensures compliance with the Gambling Act 2005 and the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code).
Purpose, participation and membership
Our raffles and prize draws are designed to give members the opportunity to win prizes while also receiving information and offers from us and, where applicable, our selected partners.
Participation occurs by becoming a member via login with a phone number and a one-time code (OTP). When you log in and thereby join our club, you are automatically entered into the current raffle.
This promotion is conducted as a free prize draw in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005. It is not a lottery, betting activity, or game of chance requiring payment.
There is no obligation to purchase. Your participation is not affected by purchases, orders, survey responses, or whether you provide or withdraw marketing consent.
Eligibility and Disqualification
Eligibility
Participation is open only to legal residents of the United Kingdom, aged 18 years or over, who provide accurate and truthful information in their own name when entering. Entries from outside the United Kingdom are not valid.
Ineligible participants
Our employees, consultants, contractors, and agents (including members of their households) are not eligible to participate.
Disqualification
We reserve the right, without prior notice, to reject or disqualify entries in the event of:
- suspected abuse, manipulation, or misconduct,
- automated, bulk, or third-party entries,
- use of multiple identities or entities, or
- any other violation of these Terms.
Promotion Period, Draw and Prize
Promotion period
Entries open on 1 January 2025 at 00:00 GMT and close on 31 December 2025 at 23:59 GMT. Any entries received outside this period will not be valid.
Annual Draw
We intend to conduct one (1) draw per calendar year. The draw will take place within four (4) weeks of the closing date. The winner will be selected using a randomised computerised process from all valid entries received.
Prize
There will be one (1) winner of the annual draw. The total prize amount is £1,000. The prize will be provided as a cash amount via bank transfer, or as a substantially equivalent value in a gift card or other payment solution if required for legal or practical reasons.
Prizes may not be transferred, sold, bartered, or exchanged for cash, unless otherwise expressly stated.
Verification and forfeiture
We may request proof of identity and eligibility before a prize is paid out. If the winner does not respond within seven (7) days of being contacted, if contact details are incorrect, or if delivery of the prize cannot be completed despite reasonable efforts, the prize may be forfeited and a new winner selected.
Taxes and fees
The winner is solely responsible for any taxes, charges, or costs that may arise in connection with receipt of the prize, where required by law.
How to Enter
Participation is by completing the designated digital entry form and logging in with a one-time code (OTP) sent to your phone number.
Only one (1) valid entry per person, household, or entity is permitted per campaign, unless otherwise expressly stated.
Invalid entries
The following entries will not be accepted:
- duplicates,
- mass entries,
- technically generated or automated entries,
- bulk or third-party submissions, or
- entries made using multiple identities or false details.
We reserve the right to remove or disqualify any such entries at our sole discretion.
Marketing, Consent and Recipients
You may choose to consent to receive marketing communications from us, and to allow us to share your details with up to four (4) carefully selected partners who comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. These partners may contact you by phone, SMS, or email with relevant offers.
Your choice is entirely voluntary and does not affect your chance of winning.
Once consent has been given, these partners may process your personal data for their own marketing purposes in accordance with their respective privacy policies. You can withdraw consent at any time under the “Your Rights” section or by following the instructions provided in the communications you receive.
Personal data and data protection
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- to administer the competition (including validation of entries, conducting the draw, and contacting winners),
- to comply with legal requirements,
- to carry out analysis and troubleshooting, and
- where consent is given, to provide marketing and share data with selected partners.
Legal basis
- Performance of a contract (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) – for competition administration,
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) – to comply with applicable law,
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) – for fraud prevention, service analysis, and security purposes, but only where proportionate and where you may easily object,
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – for marketing and data sharing with partners.
International transfers
If personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or the EU/EEA, we will apply appropriate safeguards. This may include the use of the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), as applicable.
For more details, including how to manage cookies, withdraw consent, or exercise your data rights, please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Changes, interruptions and force majeure
We may adjust, suspend, or terminate a promotion if necessary, including but not limited to situations involving technical errors, legal or regulatory changes, force majeure events, or suspected abuse of the competition.
If significant changes affect the chance of winning, the nature of the prize, or the promotion period, we will take reasonable steps to provide participants with appropriate and timely information.
Where a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, we may substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value, provided such substitution is lawful and does not unfairly disadvantage participants.
Publicity, naming and code of conduct
After confirmation of the prize, and in accordance with applicable law, we may publish the winner’s first name, initial of their surname, and city or region.
Winners will not be required to participate in publicity or marketing activities as a condition of receiving their prize. Any additional publicity requests will be made separately and require the winner’s specific consent.
Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards our staff, partners, and other participants. We reserve the right to disqualify any participant who engages in abusive, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate behavior.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, interruptions, technical errors, lack of access or third-party content/offers. We are not responsible for partners’ offers or how they handle data after legal transfer; see the respective partner’s policy.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence,
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or
- any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- indirect, incidental, or consequential damages,
- interruptions, technical errors, or lack of access to the competition platform,
- entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or misdirected due to network, hardware, or software failures, or
- the content, quality, or fulfilment of offers provided by third-party partners once data has been lawfully transferred to them.
Applicable law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a UK resident, any disputes arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This means that you may bring a claim in the courts where you live if you are a consumer and UK law requires it.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
Participants also have the right to raise complaints with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) or, where applicable, seek redress through an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body.
